Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on our planet's future and support tourism establishments in their work with sustainability? We are seeking a dedicated Coordinator to assist the team at Green Key International in the work on handling applications for Green Key from tourism establishments. In this role, you will have regular contact with the interested and applicant tourism establishments as well as the hotel chains and auditor company partners. You will be able to utilise your knowledge about sustainability in a practical way in the hospitality industry context, and you will excel in management with the various stakeholder groups to drive collaboration and consensus towards our shared sustainability goals.

ABOUT GREEN KEY
Green Key has since 1994 been a voluntary sustainability certification programme for hotels and other tourism establishments. The applicant establishments must adhere to a set of strict criteria, where it is required to demonstrate conformity with all imperative criteria and an increasing set of guideline criteria. Conformity with the required criteria is indicated in an application form, confirmed through strict audits, and the certification decision is based on a third-party verification of the conformity. During the application process, Green Key offers general support to the applicant establishments through material, meetings, webinars, etc. Green Key is administrated by FEE and its national member organisations. There are currently more than 6,000 certified establishments in over 70 countries, making Green Key the largest certification programme for the hospitality industry. JOB DESCRIPTION
Overview
As the Green Key Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting interested and applicant establishments, managing and initially evaluating incoming applications, liaising with auditing companies before audits, and following up after audits. The role will utilise your knowledge on sustainability matters relevant for the industry, your ability to obtain new information when needed, your skills of working in a very structured way with applicant establishments as well as key partners in an international environment.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Contact with interested and applying establishments through e-mail, phone and/or online meetings supporting these establishments in their work with the Green Key certification (answering general enquiries regarding criteria and practical questions regarding the application tool and processes).
Analyse incoming applications for Green Key certification and communicate the feedback to the applicant establishments.
Contact to auditing company partners for the organisation of audits.
Follow-up after audits, including communication with the auditors as well as the applicant establishments.
Follow-up after certification and ahead of re-certification.
Contact with relevant international partners, including hotel chains and tour operators, product companies, etc.
Contact, where relevant, with Green Key National Operators.
Coordinate cross-functional tasks, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and timelines are established to meet project deadlines effectively.
Facilitate communication and collaboration among internal departments, external partners, and community stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in e.g., environmental science, sustainable tourism, sustainability, or related field.
Any experience from working in the hospitality and tourism industry is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and in a team.
Proficiency in the work with various data-related tools and techniques.
Ability to work structured with many and varied tasks.
Passion for environmental conservation and sustainability.
Fluent in English language.
Solution-oriented and proactively address your tasks and challenges.

Job type
This is a full-time position (37 hours per week incl. ½ hour paid lunch) for the period 1 April 2025 – 31 March 2026. The position offers great flexibility and an 50/50 working from home/office scheme to ensure a good work-life balance.
Compensation
The position will be compensated at 25,000 DKK per month plus a 10% pension (after the probation period) and a generous vacation scheme.
